Nick Michaels is a Canadian broadcaster, writer, producer and narrator.[1]
Career
Born in Montreal, Canada to American parents, he is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada.
Michaels started in radio while still in high school. He moved to Toronto in 1973. A 1977 move to New York City resulted in some long running campaigns for advertisers like Excedrin and Molson Beer.
Michaels was the co-creator and the original voice-over host of Friday Night Videos on the NBC television network, from the program's inception in 1983 until he left the show in 1986. His voice was heard on NBC late night promos for much of the 1980s. In 1992 he became the voice of topical promotion for CNN television worldwide.
As of 2011, Michaels voice can be heard on North American radio stations including WDRV The Drive in Chicago, All News KCBS in San Francisco, 100.3 The Sound in Los Angeles.
As of 2011, his nationally syndicated program The Deep End with Nick Michaels, and its recent spin-off, Stories From The Deep End, can be heard across the country.
