Port St. Lucie, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area

The Port St. Lucie, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area is a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) consisting of Martin County and St. Lucie County in the state of Florida in the USA. The principal city in the MSA is now Port St. Lucie, located in St. Lucie County. In 2005 the population of the MSA was 381,033. In 1993 Port St. Lucie became a principal city, and the MSA became the Fort Pierce-Port St. Lucie Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2003 the name was changed to its present form and Fort Pierce was dropped as a principal city.

The Port St. Lucie-Sebastian-Vero Beach Combined Statistical Area is composed of the Port St. Lucie and Sebastian-Vero Beach Metropolitan Statistical Areas. As well as the area included in the Port St. Lucie MSA, it includes all of Indian River County.
