November 20 , 1966, in Outremont,Quebec ,Canada ) is a retired Canadian professionalice hockey goaltender . He was chosen in the eighth round, 165th overall, by theWinnipeg Jets in the1985 NHL Entry Draft .Draper played collegiately at the
University of Vermont and, after college, played one season inFinland withTappara of theSM-liiga . He made his North American professional debut with the AHL'sMoncton Hawks in the 1988–89 season, and also appeared in two NHL games with theWinnipeg Jets that same season.In his NHL career, Draper played with the Jets,
Buffalo Sabres , andNew York Islanders . He also spent several seasons in both the AHL and the IHL. In the1998–99 AHL season , with theRochester Americans , Draper shared theHap Holmes Memorial Award (lowest teamgoals against average ) with teammateMartin Biron .Draper returned to Finland in the 1999–2000 season and spent three-plus seasons there before returning to the United States to play in the
