History
Cypress Ranch, which opened in 2008, was originally called Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District High School #9. Cypress Ranch is part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. The school will serve the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD portion of BlackHorse Ranch, Cypress Creek Ranch, Cypress Creek Lakes, Fairfield and Bridgeland, a community in unincorporated Harris County.
Cypress Ranch relieved Cypress Woods High School when it opened in fall 2008. Cypress Ranch is on a 130-acre (0.53 km2) campus at Fry Road and Cypress North Houston. Pepper-Lawson Construction, L.P. built the school for $68,673,095 United States dollars, with the contract at $162,855 USD. The Cypress Ranch campus is similar to the Cypress Woods campus.
The Principal is Mrs. Darlene Medford, and the first graduating class was the class of 2011.References
