- Zoids Customise Parts
-
Zoids Customise Parts (also referred to as Customise Parts or CPs) were a line of model kits released by TOMY as a part of the Zoids line.
The line consisted of additional weapons systems and equipment that could be added to existing Zoids. The line was composed of a mixture of new models and re-releases of parts from older models and upgrade kits.
The Customise Parts line was launched in 1999. It was cancelled in 2001, to make way for the Blox line. However, the line was briefly re-introduced during the Genesis line for the protagonist Zoids (sans the Murasame Liger) to correspond to the upgrades made to them midway into the series.
The Parts were released in three pairs: Set A contained the Bio Crusher sword for the Sword Wolf and the Wind Dancer thrusters for the Rainbow Jerk. Set B contained the Twinkle Breaker for the Lanstag, and the Scissor Claw for the Deadly Kong (in the anime, this weapon was actually part of the Deadly Kong to begin with, utilized through the removal of the bandages on the left arm. However, the "bandages" of the kit are fixed, thus the replacement component). Lastly, Set C contained the Soul Booster for the Soul Tiger (which was, in fact, a wingless variant of the original Rayse Tiger's Ptera Rayse) and the Grand Star lances for the Bamburian.
CP-01 Beam Cannon Set
The CP-01 set consists of a pair of heavy beam cannons and a power pack for the Shield Liger. These powerful cannons greatly enhanced the Zoid's fire-power. Mounted on the sides of the Zoid, they displaced the normal missile pods which were, in turn, moved onto the Zoid's back.
The CP-01 kit consists of a single frame, as well as two coiled spring tubes and two rubber caps. The kit is moulded in silver. The entire kit had originally been released during the 1980s as a part of the New Republic Customise Set. It had also been issued in gold as a part of the Shield Liger Mk II model. It was later re-issued in silver as a part of the Shield Liger DCS-J model, and in gold again with the TDP Shield Liger Mk II. The parts frame and caps were issued with all releases of the Madthunder.
The cannons are mounted on the Zoid's side, replacing the missile launchers. A folding mechanism kept the cannons level when the mountings were moved from the stowed to deployed positions.
CP-02 Assault Unit
Often referred to as the Flight Pack, this unit consists of a flight unit, stabilizers and a missile launcher. Used by the Sabre Tiger, this unit allows the Zoid to fly for short periods of time.
The CP-02 kit consists of a single frame, as well as two coiled spring tubes. The kit is moulded in silver. The entire kit had originally been released during the 1980s as a part of the New Empire Customise Set. It had also been issued in silver as a part of the Greatsabre model. It was later re-issued in gunmetal as a part of the Limited Sabre Tiger model, and in silver again with the TDP Greatsabre.
CP-03 Beam Gatling
Based on the Hybrid Vulcan Cannon used by the Dark Horn, the CP-03 Beam Gatling Cannon is designed for use by the Red Horn. While not as powerful as the older weapon, the Beam Gatling brought the Red Horn's overall firepower close to the Dark Horn's level.
The CP-03 kit consists of a single frame, as well a coiled spring tube. The kit is moulded in dull grey. The entire kit had originally been released during the 1980s part of the Dark Horn model. It was then re-issued in silver with the pre-release Dark Horn, in dull grey as a part of the NJR Limited Dark Horn, and again in silver as a part of the TDP Limited Dark Horn.
Anime
Besides being used by the Red Horn and Dark Horn, the CP-03 has featured considerably in the Zoids anime, often mounted on custom Zoids. Most of these configurations cannot be achieved with the models without considerable customisation.
- Karl Shubaltz's Iron Kong in Zoids: Chaotic Century and Zoids: Guardian Force used a gatling similar in appearance to the CP-03, except smaller and belt-fed, in place of the regular shoulder cannon. This configuration was also seen on the Iron Kongs in Zoids: Fuzors.
- Schubaltz also used a customised Sabre Tiger that was equipped with a CP-03 cannon.
- McMann used Dark Horns equipped with a pair of "Special Edition Gatling Rifles". They are similar in appearance to the CP-03, except coloured gold, with ammo belts feeding into the upper shoulders of the 'Horn. Harry Champ's Dark Horn was based upon this variant, as well as all the Dark Horns in Fuzors.
- Leena Toros' customised Gun Sniper in Zoids: New Century Zero mounted a pair of CP-03 units, amongst other parts. This configuration was also seen in Fuzors.
CP-04 Attack Unit
The CP-04 was created by the Helic Republic to bolster the fire-power of its smaller Zoids. The unit consists of a pair of 250 mm beam cannons, as well as a stabiliser unit and boosters to offset the weapon's considerable weight (about 20 tons). The CP-04 is used by the following Zoids:
- Command Wolf (Replaces regular weapons turret)
- Barigator (Replaces quad SSM launcher)
- Cannon Tortoise (Replaces composite sensor mast)
- Stealth Viper (Stabilizers usually replace heavy machine cannons, which in turn are placed on the sides of the CP-04 250 mm beam cannon turret)
- On the back of the Shadow Fox's NJR box, it is shown as one of the many replacements to the back turret.
..
The CP-04 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in dull grey. The first entirely new part of the CP line, the kit was later re-issued as a part of the Command Wolf AC model, and again with the Fuzors Command Wolf AC. It was also re-issued in light grey.
Anime
CP-04 armed Command Wolves are a common sight in the Zoids: Guardian Force anime, as Republican infantry Zoids. In Zoids: New Century Zero and Zoids: Fuzors, the Command Wolves piloted by Brad and Helmut are AC variants (although Brad's starts out as an Irvine variant).
CP-05 Large-Bore Beam Cannon
The CP-05 is a heavy beam cannon designed to supplement the long-range fire-power of some smaller Zoids. While the cannon provides a tremendous offensive punch, the great weight of the weapon impairs the mobility of the carrying Zoid. It also includes a long-range targeting system. The CP-05 is used by the following Zoids:
- Cannon Tortoise (Replaces composite sensor mast and AA cannons)
- Barigator (Replaces quad SSM launcher)
- Stealth Viper
The CP-05 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in dull green. It was also re-issued in dull grey.
CP-06 Bomber Unit
The CP-06 unit is composed of a quartet of all-purpose missile launchers designed for use on various Zoids. In addition, it includes its own targeting systems. The CP-06 is used by the following Zoids:
- Pteras
- Double Sworder (Replaces rear beam cannons)
- Command Wolf
- Stealth Viper
The CP-06 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in dull blue. It was also re-issued in dull red; the colouration being a close match to the OER Zark (a Pteras variant)
CP-07 Cannonry Unit
The CP-07 consists of a single 120 mm artillery cannon with a large blast. The weapon can be used for both direct and indirect fire and packs a considerable punch. The CP-07 is used by the following Zoids:
- Heldigunner (Replaces 72 mm AA Cannon)
- Molga
- Geno Saurer (Replaces Long-Range Pulse Laser Rifles)
The CP-07 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in flat black. It was also re-issued in silver with the Rokurou Molga model, in silver on its own, and in dull silver with the Genesis Cannonry Molga.
Genesis
The CP-07 is highly valued because its shells are not stopped by the Bio-Zoids' Hell Armour. One shot from a CP-07 is often enough to destroy a Bio Raptor.
CP-08 Pile Bunker
A large weapon, the CP-08 consists of a pile driver that can be used in two different ways; the first as a regular spear, the second by firing off the pile driver to increase its penetration. The CP-08 is used by the following Zoids:
- Iguan
- Rev Rapter
The CP-08 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in dull grey. It was also re-issued in chrome gold with the Rev Rapter Night Patrol model, in grey with the Raven Raptor, in brown on its own, and in gold as a limited edition with some releases of the Hayate Liger.
The model can be mounted on the Rev Rapter individually, or as a pair. On the Iguan, it overbalances the Zoid and impairs the model's ability to walk.
CP-09 Booster Cannon
The CP-09 is a dual-purpose weapons system. It consists of a pair of 100 mm Beam Cannons, each with a small ion booster mounted on its back. This improves the Zoid's acceleration as well as its maximum speed. The weapon is considered to be standard issue to Redlers which otherwise lack ranged weapons. The CP-09 is used by the following Zoids:
The CP-09 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in metallic grey. It was also re-issued in light blue.
CP-10 Gojulas Cannons
Originally developed for the Gojulas Mk II during the Central Continent War, the CP-10 system (also known as the Republic Supercannons) have been a part of the Gojulas' arsenal for decades. The system consists of a pair of 360 mm long-range cannons, as well as a four-barreled Impact Cannon.
The Supercannons were initially developed as an upgrade for the Gojulas, providing both considerable range and stopping power. The range and firepower of the Supercannons was powerful enough to seriously damage the Iron Kong with a single shot, and had the advantage of out-ranging all of the Imperial Zoid’s weapons.
The CP-10 kit consists of a single frame, as well as four rubber caps. The kit is molded in dull dark blue. Not all versions of the Gojulas can mount the cannons; both the OJR and OER versions lack the adaptors to connect them to it, as does the Robostrux Terox. The CP-10 kit has been issued more than any other CP kit. The Republic Customize Set included parts to mount the Supercannons on a Dibison, Ultrasaurus, Mammoth, and Salamander.
The kit was originally issued in grey as a part of the Republic Customize Set(which also came with missile pods, stabilizers, and special battery covers so the Supercannons could be mounted on the Gojulas) and then reissued with the New Republic Customize Set. The kit was also issued in white with the Gojulas Mk II and then reissued with the TDP Gojulas Mk II, in black with the Gojulas Mk II limited, Gojulas the Ogre and Salamander Bombvern, in light blue with Cannonner Gordos and in bronze with the Gojulas Mariner.
Anime
In the various anime series the Gojulas is always equipped with the CP-10 instead of its standard shoulder cannons.
CP-11 Manoeuvre Thrusters
The CP-11 was developed by the Zenebas Empire, in response to the Republic's Supercannons. The thrusters not only enabled the Iron Kong to make long range leaps and jumps, it also allowed it to suddenly shift its position; allowing the Iron Kong to evade the long-range firepower of the Gojulas, then rapidly close for the kill. The upgrade included specialised targeting system, which improved the performance of the Iron Kong's missiles, making them more accurate and better able to acquire targets on the move.
The CP-11 kit consists of three frames, a large backpack, and four rubber caps. The kit is moulded in bronze and clear green. The pack has space for a single pilot figure, but none is included. The modifications made to the NAR Iron Kong prevent it from mounting CP-11 without removing two of the spars inside the pack. The CP-11 kit has been issued numerous times.
The kit was first issued in grey as part of the Empire Customise Set and then reissued with the New Empire Customise Set. It was also issued in charcoal with the Iron Kong Mk II and then reissued with the TDP Iron Kong Mk II, in silver with the Iron Kong Mk II Limited and white with the Iron Kong Yeti. Two of the frames were also issued in dull grey with the NAR Iron Kong.
Due to the moulding changes made to the NAR Iron Kong, the CP-11 cannot normally be mounted on the Zoid. This can be overcome by shaving off a pair of tabs on the inside of the CP-11's body.
CP-12 Attack Booster
The CP-12 was developed for the Blade Liger in response to the Geno Breaker. The system consists of a pair of boosters mounted at the base of the Zoid's blades that provide it with extra speed and acceleration. The system can also be converted to act as a pair of high-powered Beam Cannons. However, it is still unsure, if this impairs the Zoid's ability to use its signature armament, as seen in the Zoids Saga series, though this is unlikely.
The CP-12 kit consists of a single frame and a pair of rubber caps. The kit is moulded in dull grey, with sections of it painted blue. The kit was re-released with the Blade Liger Mirage Infinity, and also re-issued with black paint in place of the blue with the Blade Liger Mirage.
Anime
The CP-12 is a major upgrade performed on Van's Blade Liger during Zoids: Guardian Force, with an entire episode dedicated to the testing and installation of this upgrade.
CP-13 Wild Weasel Unit
The Wild Weasel unit was designed to enhance the fire-power and capabilities of the Helic Republic's main infantry Zoids. The unit consists of a powerful radar unit, as well as two pods, each mounting two pairs of heavy beam cannons. The result is a Zoid that is significantly more powerful with no loss of capabilities. The CP-13 is used by the following Zoids:
- Gunsniper
- Godos (replaces the Dual AA cannon)
The CP-13 kit consists of a single frame and four rubber caps. The kit is moulded in dull grey with orange caps. The kit has never been reissued.
When mounted on the Godos, the CP-13 overbalances the model and substantially hampers its ability to walk.
Fandom
The Wild Weasel unit is often mistaken for the modified Gunsniper weapons system used by Leena Toros in New Century. While Leena's Gunsniper does use a CP-13 system, her Wild Weasel Unit is used as the core of an extravagant (and somewhat excessive) weapons system.
It is commonly believed that the CP-13 system also eliminates the Gunsniper's ability to use its Tail Sniper Rifle. This is untrue; the rifle is still operational while the Gunsniper uses the CP-13 unit. This also stems from the fact that Leena never bothered to use the sniper rifle of her Gunsniper in New Century.
CP-14 Viking Lance
The Viking Lance consists of a heavy-duty, super-hardened alloy lance designed to pierce and impale enemy Zoids. Originally designed for use underwater, the lance is effective on land. The CP-14 is used by the following Zoids:
- Hammerhead (replaces AZ2 Missile pods and 30 mm Long range beam guns)
- Command Wolf
The CP-14 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in bronze, and has never been reissued.
CP-15 Assault Gatling Unit
The Assault Gattling unit is a multi-purpose unit designed to increase a Zoid's tactical flexibility. The unit consists of a pair of weapons; a 16-shot multifunction missile launcher and a 6-barrelled 35 mm Beam Gattling Cannon. The two weapons are capable of independent elevation, as well as rotation when mounted on an Elephander. Additionally, the weapon is equipped with a laser targeting system to enhance its accuracy. The CP-15 is used by the following Zoids:
- Elephander (Replaces back weapons turret)
- Blade Liger
- Sinker (mounts the Gatling cannon only)
The CP-15 kit consists of two frames and two rubber caps. The kit is moulded in bronze and light grey. The kit has never been reissued.
While not advertised, the kit can also be used on the Shield Liger. Additionally, it has a pair of ports to allow the mounting of the CP-01 at the same time.
CP-16 Zoid Controller
Unique amongst the Customise Parts line, the CP-16 is not meant to represent an "in world" upgrade. Rather, it is an accessory for the model line. The unit consists of a remote control with cord that plugs into the back of certain Zoids equipped with a battery pack.
- On the Lightning Saix, the Zoid walks forward under remote control. It can also remotely switch between its two running speeds.
- On the Berserk Führer, the Zoid also walks forwards, and can be switched between its two modes. While not advertised as such, the controller could be used with the Gairyuki with the same results due to the shared parts between them.
- On the Death Stinger, the controller can make the Zoid walk both forwards and backwards, as well as turn side to side.
The CP-16 was released in Japan in 2000, and was discontinued in 2001. The upgrade kit was also released in the NAR; boxed with a recoloured version of the Lightning Saix as a Toys R Us exclusive.
CP-17 Schneider Unit
Liger Zero Schneider CP-17
Liger Type
Helic RepublicCrew 1 Weight 135 tons Depth 24.1 m Height 10.1 m Maximum Speed 310 km/h Weapons Laser Fangs, Strike Laser Claws (4), AZ 208 mm Double-Barrelled Shock Cannon, Rushing Laser Blades (5), Laser Blades (2) Equipment Changing Armour System (CAS), E-Shield Generator (5), Multi-Sensor Scouting Pod, High-Output Ion Boosters (2), High-Energy Thrusters (2) The first CAS Unit for the Liger Zero, the CP-17 Schneider Unit is designed for close combat. It has seemingly much more attack power than the Jaeger or Zero units although it had a stopping problem in the first time it was used in New Century. The unit features seven energy blades mounted on the Liger Zero's head and sides (five around the head, one on each flank), which can be used to cut through enemy Zoid armor and energy shields. Additionally, the Zero Schneider features improved speed and acceleration through the use of a series of powerful boosters. The Zoid also mounts an Energy shield, one of the most powerful on any Zoid.
The Zero Schneider was first deployed in ZAC 2101 as a part of the Helic invasion of the Guylos Empire. Replacing the Blade Liger, the Zoid proved to be far more effective. It was also used against the berserk Death Stinger, managing to destroy the Zoid.
The CP-17 kit consists of three frames, as well as two small caps. The kit is molded in orange, gray and light blue; with additional painted details. The model was released in 2000, with production continuing until about 2002.
In Korea, the model was released in a package with a Liger Zero. The model was also released in the U.S. with a recoloured Liger Zero as a Toys "R" Us exclusive. There were no changes to the CP-17 kit itself in either release.
CP-18 Impact Cannon
The CP-18 system consists of a quartet of 108 mm Impact Cannons linked to a sophisticated long-range targeting system. The system is mounted on a rotating base, and all four cannons elevate independently. The CP-18 is used by the following Zoids:
- Spinosapper (replaces Chainsaws)
- Raynos (replaces 3D Radar, though the 3D Radar can be mounted on the belly mounting)
The CP-18 kit consists of a single frame. The kit is moulded in light grey. It has never been reissued.
CP-19 Bind Container
An unusual system, the CP-19 is a cargo storage box. Additionally, it is equipped with a variety of tools and equipment to support Zoids in the field. The CP-19 is used solely by the Zabat, in both manned and unmanned versions.
The CP-19 kit consists of a two frames and a single small blue pilot figure. One of the parts is a re-mould of the wind-up motor key from the Rev Rapter. The kit is moulded in white and dull grey. It has never been reissued.
CP-20 Jager Unit

NJR Liger Zero JagerCP-20
Liger Type
Helic RepublicCrew 1 Weight 132 tons Depth 24.1 m Height 10.8 m Maximum Speed 330 km/h Weapons Laser Fangs, Strike Laser Claws (4), AZ 208 mm Double-Barreled Shock Cannon, Vulcan Pod (2), Flying Vulcan Pod (2) Equipment Changing Armour System (CAS), Aero-Fairings (4), Large Ion Boosters (2), Side Thrusters (2), Multi-Blade Antenna (2), Objective Blade Sensor (2) The second Liger Zero CAS Unit, the CP-20 Jager Unit is designed for reconnaissance and high-speed strike operations. The Jager unit's main features are a pair of large boosters mounted on the Zoid's back, which provide the Zoid with incredible speed and acceleration while improving the Zoid's agility. All up, the Zero Jager has the best maneuverability of any ground-based Zoid, and has amongst the best acceleration.
The Zero Jager features advanced radar and sensory systems, allowing it to act as a reconnaissance unit. The CAS unit also reduces the Zoid's overall level of armor protection, but due to its high level of speed and agility this is not seen as a drawback.
The CP-20 kit consists of eight frames. Two of these frames are shared with the CP-21 kit. The kit is molded in dull blue, light blue and light gray, with some painted details. The model was released in 2000, with production continuing until about 2002. It has not been reissued. An earlier kit was LZ-01b, for the metal action Liger Zero.
In Korea, the model was released in a package with a Liger Zero.
Anime
The Jaeger was the first CAS introduced in the New Century Zero anime, rather than the second. It is also the most commonly used CAS unit, despite Bit initially disliking it for aesthetic reasons.
CP-21 Panzer Unit
Liger Zero Panzer [[Image:|300px]]
NJR Liger Zero PanzerCP-21
Liger Type
Helic RepublicCrew 1 Weight 145 tons Depth 23.3 m Height 9.7 m Maximum Speed 285 km/h Weapons Laser Fangs, Strike Laser Claws (4), AZ 208 mm Triple-Barreled Shock Cannon, AZ Two-Shot Missile Pods (4), AZ Three-Shot Grenade Launchers (4), AZ Two-Shot Micro-Homing Missile Pod (2), AZ Six-Shot Micro-Homing Missile Pod (5), AZ Three-Shot Micro Homing Missile Pod (2), Vulcan Pod (2), Hybrid Cannon (2) consisting of AZ 216 mm Railgun and AZ 108 mm Beam Gun Equipment Changing Armour System (CAS), Multi-Blade Antenna (2), Objective Blade Sensor (2) The third Liger Zero CAS Unit, the CP-21 'Panzer Unit' is designed for heavy assault and long-range bombardment. The armor reduces the Zoid's speed and agility ("Reduced" is a relative term; the Zero Panzer's agility is comparable to that of a Blade Liger), while increasing its overall level of protection and drastically increasing its fire-power. The unit sports two heavy cannons in addition to numerous concealed missile launchers, allowing it to engage both land and air targets.
Introduced in ZAC 2101, the Panzer proved to be the most effective of the Zero CAS units. The Zoid was employed against the swarms of Eisen Dragoon attack Zoids, using its missiles to decimate whole formations at once.
The CP-21 kit consists of seven frames. Two of the frames are common with the CP-20 model kit. The kit is molded in dull green and gray; additionally it has some painted details. The model was released in 2000, with production continuing until about 2003. It has not been reissued.
In Korea, the model was released in a package with a Liger Zero.
Anime
The Zero Panzer was the last CAS to be introduced in the anime. Unlike its battle story counterpart, the anime version of the Panzer was depicted as being incredibly heavy, being almost immobile. It also overheated, and nearly shut down the Liger when used. As such, it was the least used armor.
The Japanese Zoids: New Century Zero opening depicts an a third CAS unit that resembles the Panzer but also is substantially different in detail. It is believed by many that the Liger Zero was originally planned to have a fourth CAS called the "Liger Zero Blaze". It is rumored that the Liger Zero was supposed to defeat the Berserk Fury with this CAS, but that the animators instead chose to use the base armor. However, there is no tangible proof to back this up, and the "Blaze" CAS is more likely a prototype version of the Panzer. This theory is supported by early concept art for the Panzer which closely resembles the supposed "Blaze CAS".
CP-22 Dual Sniper Rifle
As the König Wolf lacked any integral ranged weapons, the Helic Republic developed a pair extra weapons systems for the Zoid. Despite its name, the CP-22 Dual Sniper Rifle is not actually a sniper weapon; instead it is a rapid-fire autocannon, albeit a long-ranged one. The weapon is considered to be vital to the König Wolf, and can be tied into its sensor goggles for targeting.
The CP-22 kit consists of two frames, two gears and a pair of rubber caps. The kit is moulded in dull grey. The weapon has a unique action; when a tab on the back is pushed, a pair of ammunition drums rotate. The CP-22 was re-issued with different caps as a part of the Heavy Arms König Wolf model, and with one of the frames recoloured in bronze for the König Wolf Mk II
The CP-22 was released in 2001 and discontinued after a short run. As a result, the kit will often fetch outrageous prices at collectables auctions, typically going for five to ten times its original price.
CP-23 5-Shot Missile Pod
To further supplement the König Wolf's fire-power, the Helic engineers designed a second weapons system for it. The CP-23 unit consists of a quartet of short-range missile pods mounted on the Zoid's forelegs.
The CP-23 kit consists of two frames. The kit is moulded in white and dull grey. The CP-23 was re-issued with the white components replaced with blue as a part of the Heavy Arms König Wolf model, and with the white components replaced with bronze for the König Wolf Mk II
Like the CP-22, CP-23 was released and only had a short production run. By 2006, the price of the two units together was often more than a Fuzors König Wolf Mk II.
CP-24 Flexible Booster
In ZAC 2101, a third party began supplying Zoids weapons to all factions in the conflict. The first of these systems was the CP-24 Flexible Booster. The unit consists of a pair of boosters on flexible mountings which increases the Zoid's speed, acceleration and mobility. It also adds either a pair of 40 mm beam cannons or a pair of AZ2 Missile Pods to the Zoid. The CP-24 is used by the following Zoids:
- Snipe Master
- Hammer Rock
- Spinosapper
- Helcat
The CP-24 kit consists of two frames and four rubber caps. The kit can be built with either beam cannons or missile launchers. The kit is moulded in black. It was also re-issued in light blue.
CP-25 Active Shield
Manufactured by the same company as the CP-24, the CP-25 is an unusual system. It consists of a pair of large shields on flexible mountings. The mountings move the shields to protect the Zoid from incoming fire, increasing the unit's survivability. Additionally, several small weapons are added to the Zoid. The CP-25 is used by the following Zoids:
- Snipe Master
- Hammer Rock
- Spinosapper
- Helcat
The CP-25 kit consists of two frames and four rubber caps. The kit is moulded in dull green. It was also re-issued in red.
CP-26 Omni-Directional Missile Unit
The third weapon in the series, the CP-26 unit consists of a trio of missile launchers intended for different roles. Additionally, the mounting of the weapons allows them to provide a Zoid with full coverage. The CP-26 is used by the following Zoids:
- Snipe Master
- Hammer Rock
- Spinosapper
- Helcat
The CP-26 kit consists of a two frames and a small pilot figure. The kit is moulded in silver with a blue figure. It was also re-issued in blue with a grey figure.
CP-27 Storm (Sturm) Unit
Storm (Sturm) Führer [[Image:|300px]] CP-27
Tyrannosaurus Type
Guylos EmpireCrew 1 Weight 140 tons Depth 23.3 m Height 8.9 m Maximum Speed 450 km/h Weapons Electron Fangs, Strike Laser Claws (2), Strike Claws (2), Strike Smash Tail, Charged Particle Cannon, Charged Particle Generator (3), X-Breaker (2) Equipment Changing Armour System (CAS), Vernier Thrusters (10), High Manoeuvre Thrusters (2), Ion Booster Pack, Sturm Booster (2), Anchors (4), Head Shield - Note: the upgrade is identified on the box as "Storm Unit" in English, and "Sturm Unit" in Japanese. Both names are considered to be equally valid.
The only CAS unit produced for the Berserk Führer, the CP-27 Storm Unit drastically increases the Zoid's speed and manoeuvrability, albeit at the cost of most of its weaponry. The CAS adds a pair of large-scale boosters to the back of the Zoid, enhancing its flight capabilities. In place of the multi-function Buster Claws, the Zoid mounts a pair of X-Breakers, similar to those on the Geno Breaker. Finally, the Zoid's armour is upgraded, especially on the head.
Introduced at the very end of the Guylos Empire, the Storm Unit helped the Berserk Führer defeat the Gunbluster Zoids that had been the only thing capable of stopping it. The extra speed allowed the Fury to fly past the Gunbluster's weapons fire and assault them from the flanks.
The CP-27 kit consists of a three frames. The kit is moulded in lavender, silver and red. It was also reissued in bright red and gold as a part of the limited Sturm Tyrann kit.
The model was issued in 2001, and discontinued after a very short production run. It is the rarest CP unit produced.
Zoids: Saga Games
In the Zoids: Saga series of Game Boy Advance games, the Berserk Führer possesses an additional two CAS forms, the Jagd Führer and Berserk Führer Z (also known as "Zenebas"). These units are believed to be based on cancelled CAS model kits.
CP-A1
Unlike other CPs which are specific weapons systems or equipment, CP-A1 is designed to allow the connection of different CPs to Zoids other than the ones they were designed for. The CP-A1 can be used with the following Zoids and CPs:
- With CP-01 to mount it on the Command Wolf and Cannon Tortoise
- With CP-02 to mount it on the Redler and Genosaurer
- With CP-03 to mount it on the Iron Kong and Sabre Tiger
The CP-A1 kit consists of a single frame and a pair of rubber caps. The kit is moulded in dull grey. Initially planned for commercial release, CP-A1 was only released as a convention-exclusive item in 2000.
