Factor Four

Factor Four

Factor Four is a supervillain group in the Freedom City campaign setting for the "Mutants and Masterminds" role-playing game. They have been compared to the Frightful Four or the U-Foes, though in terms of powers they are almost directly analogous to the Fantastic Four.

The Factor Four consist of explorers who were rivals of the Atom Family, and were permanently transformed by mystical artifacts into living embodiments of the four alchemical elements; earth, air, fire and water. They often act as mercenaries within the game.

"Professor Fathom" (water) is obsessed with his rival, Dr. Atom. He is greedy and calculating; to him, a thing only has worth if "he" can benefit from it.

"Granite" (earth) is a rock giant with projections that resemble badlands or desert buttes. The big, dumb muscle of the group.

"Pyre" (fire) can no longer have any human contact, and he takes out his frustrations on the world.

"Sylph" (air) is also desperate to return to flesh. She is manipulative but not very loyal, using men to get whatever she wants.
