Visayan Sea

The Visayan Sea is a small sea within the Philippine archipelago, surrounded on three sides by the islands of the Visayas. The Eastern Visayas and Western Visayas lie to the east and west, while the Central Visayas lie to the south. It is bounded on the north by Masbate, on the east by Leyte, on the south by Cebu and Negros, and on the west by Panay.

The sea is connected to the Sibuyan Sea to the northwest via the Jintotolo Channel, the Samar Sea to the northeast, the Camotes Sea to the southeast, the Bohol Sea to the south via Tañon Strait, and the Sulu Sea via the Guimaras Strait and Panay Gulf. It contains Bantayan Island.
