Tekari is a city and a municipality in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar. Maharaja Gopalsaran, a Bhumihar Brahmin, was the king of this area in British times.The fort is still there. It is a place of tourist's interest.Some famous schools and colleges are Satendra Narayan Sinha College, Tekari Raj Inter School,RDAV Public School,Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High Schooletc.Some of the nearby villages are Jalalpur, Lodipur, Chiraali, Rewai Garh,Rakasiya ,SHEONAGAR,Paluhar , Gulzana, Salempur (Tekari) etc.
