All Blacks at the Rugby World Cup

All Blacks at the Rugby World Cup

The All Blacks have played a total of 36 matches in the six Rugby World Cup tournaments. They were the only team who had made it to all the semi-finals at the world cup between 1987 and 2003, but in 2007 France beat them 20-18 knocking them out of the world cup at the quarter-final stage. They have a poor world cup record compared to competing teams despite often entering the tournament as favourites, however remain consistently ranked number one in the world by the International Rugby Board based on games played throughout the season.

By position

* 1987 First
* 1991 Third
* 1995 Second
* 1999 Fourth
* 2003 Third
* 2007 Eliminated in Quarter-Finals.
