university =Andrew "Andy" Ellis (born 1984) is a
New Zealand rugby union player who specializes in the position of half-back, which is also known as scrum-half. He currently plays for the Crusaders inSuper 14 rugby and Canterbury in provincial rugby. Ellis had the honour of being selected for the New Zealand U21 side. His rookie year in the Super 14 saw him oust All BlackKevin Senio from the Crusaders starting line-up. Ellis was unable to play in the2006 Super 14 Final after injuring himself in the semi-final against the Bulls. Ellis was unavailable for selection through injury for the 2006 mid-year tests for theAll Blacks . He has often been compared to former New Zealand and Canterbury half-backJustin Marshall due to his long blonde hair.Ellis was named in the All Blacks 2006 End of year tour squad, and made his All Blacks debut against England at Twickenham.
