Siddapur is a panchayat town in Uttara Kannada district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located near the town of Sirsi.

Geography

Demography

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Siddapur had a population of 14,049. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Siddapur has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 72%. In Siddapur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. Languages spoken here are Kannada and Konkani.

Mostly Daivajnas, Havyaks, Gaud Saraswats, Christians, and Muslims inhabited the town of Siddapur.
