Ramkola is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kushinagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Geography

Ramkola is located at coord|26.9|N|83.84|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/36/Ramkola.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Ramkola] ] . It has an average elevation of 75 metres (246 feet). It is situated on the Gorakhpur-Kaptanganj-Laxmiganj-Padarauna linking railway line.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Ramkola had a population of 13,333. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Ramkola has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 45%. In Ramkola, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Places to visit

There are two Sugar Factories, a Railway station, an intermediate college Janta Inter College and a famous Devi Sati Ansuiya Temple (The attraction of tourists and religious people.)
