Nebadhai Duttapukur is a census town under Barasat police station of Barasat sadar subdivision [ [http://www.wbcensus.gov.in/DataTables/01/Table-3.htm District-wise list of statutory towns] ] in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Geography

Duttapukur is 30 km from Sealdah and 7 km from Barasat on the Sealdah-Bongaon section of Eastern Railway [ Eastern Railway time table. ] It is on NH 35. It is part of the Kolkata Suburban Railway system.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Duttapukur had a population of 19,882. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Duttapukur has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 73%. In Duttapukur, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.
