Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census[1], Naranapuram had a population of 9342. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Naranapuram has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 55%. In Naranapuram, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
TEMPLES:
Shri Navaneetha Krishnan Temple This is one Hindu temple in Naranapuram managed by Kammavar community of the village. The festival conducted at October, January and April. During Krishna Jayanthi festival in October the statue of God Krishna taken around the village in radha. The streets are cleaned and the roads are decorated with Rangoli.
The main festival celebrated in April and is very famous among the villagers. God Nindra Narayana perumal and Goddess Nachiyar.
Telugu In Naranapuram most of the peoples speak Telugu language. Most the peoples are relatives to each other. However, the village has people from all the community(most of them were attracted for the employment in firework factories around Naranapuram)
Schools Government Higher secondary School is the only option for the people of nearby villagers and most of the native villagers prefer the schools in Sivakasi Town(SHNV & SHNG Schools).
Entertainment In Naranapuram most of the youngsters play cricket nowadays. Naranapuram Rise Mill Ground is the most popular ground in the village (the ground is no more as there are lots of houses constructed). Friends Recreation Club (FRC) maintains sports activities in the village. The main focus of FRC is training youngsters in the village for volleyball game.
