Kundarki is a nagar panchayat (town) in Moradabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The settlement dates back to the Mughal period.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Kundarki had a population of 24,540. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kundarki has an average literacy rate of 35%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 42%, and female literacy is 27%. In Kundarki, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Education

Kundarki has five secondary schools, the Kundarki Higher School, the J.L.M. Intermediate college, Evergreen Intermediate college, the Government Girls Intermediate College and the Kisan Public Higher secondary school and also there are many primary and montesary schools present here, some of these are "Chaman Public school", Yusuf Public School, Allama Iqbql Academy, Shepherd's School, Al-Baru Academy, I.L.M.School, Sheesh Academy, Dayanand Bal Vidya Mandir, Adarsh Bal Vidyalya.

History

Sir Raza ali a governor of S.Africa lived here. Presently Kunderki is a Nagar panchayat.Kunderki Town area's established in 1903 by govt. of British

Political Status

The town is represented in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly by Haji Akbar Husain. He was selected for M.L.A. seat five times. He is a Minister now. Mrs.Indra Mohni (Ex Minister) was a famous Congress Party leader. She was also selected for M.L.A.
