Karjan is a city and a municipality in Vadodara district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Karajan is one of the best Taluko in Vadodara. Karajan Railways are very pleasant. One of the most significant things, is that, Mr.K.Parmar (first IAS officer in Vadodara district in the Gayakwadi Sasan) is held in Anhara of Karjan. In which in the karjan there were the most intelligent student is Ankit Thakar in 2007.

Demographics

As of the India census,^[1] Karjan had a population of 26,344. 52% of the population was male, and 48% was female. The average literacy rate is 91%, higher than the national average of 60.5%^{[citation needed]}. In Karjan, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. Karjan is divided in juna bazar and nava bazar.national highway no.8 is pass to juna bazar. Famous spiritual place of Rang avadhudh maharaj asharam 'Nareshawar' in Karjan Taluka. Karjan has also been famous for its Sari Market, people come from across the Vadodara to shop in Karjan. karjan is also famous for snakes like samosa and khaman.

Education Systems

There are 18 schools in Karjan, among them the Shah N.B. Sharvajanic high school, which attracts students from nearby villages, which has science, commerce and arts streams. Arts and commerce college are also part of Karjan education. And in 2007 there were most intelligent student is Ankit Thakar. He got award from principal of the shah N.B. sharvajanis high school.

Some big villages around Karjan includes Dhavat, Anastu, Oslam, Choranda, Kandari, Sasrod, Miyagam, Umaj, Motikoral, etc. Faculty of Shah N.B. Sharvajanic HS includes some great teachers like Mr.A.B.Jadav [M.A,M.Ed,M.Phil,NET(Edu)],Mr.C.N.patel, Mr.P.J.Chikhalia from Ochhan Village, Mr.P.K.Prajapati, Mr.V.P.Patel, Mr.M.M.Vyas, Mr.C.K.Bhagora, Mr.R.C.Modi, Mr. Gohil and many more... Pradeepsinh Jhala [M.sc.(Zoology),M.Ed.] is the principal of the school.

There is very famous school named Sabari Highschool,which is known for its qualitative education. Imtiyaz Ismailkhan Chauhan{The M.S.University of Baroda} who ranked first in National level QUIZ on Gandhian Thaught and Life studied here.

In Karjan Taluka there are places for meditation as well as peaceful places like Nareshwar, Motikoral on the bank of Narmda river and nearer, one village named Sagdol where historical Shiv Shakti's temple.
