David D. Cortese

David D. "Dave" Cortese (born c. 1956) is an American politician from California, currently serving on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, representing District 3 including Milpitas and parts of Sunnyvale and San Jose. Before being elected to the Board of Supervisors, he served as a councilman and Vice Mayor for the San Jose City Council.

Cortese attended Bellarmine College Preparatory high school (1970–1974).^[1] He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis and his Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Law School^[2] (1991–1995).^[1]

He is the son of former California Assembly member Dominic L. Cortese.
