Hiranagar is a town and a notified area committee in Kathua district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Geography

Jhandi Fort

The Jhandi Fort is situated just outside the town towards Pakistan Border. This Fort was built by King Hira after whose name the town was named. Fort has a very renowned temple of Mata Kali. This fort is currently converted into a Prison for Political Prisoners.
