Haidergarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Barabanki district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, [GR|India] Haidergarh had a population of 14,043. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Haidergarh has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 51%. In Haidergarh, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Haidergarh at present is having one Post Graduate College named as Gramyanchal Vidyalaya, 2 Intermediate Colleges viz Sarvajankik Vidyala and Rashtriya Vidyalaya, 1 Girls InterCollege. Since it is cattering the needs of people north of Gomati River, the infrastructure is not enough.

Location :This Town is located on Lucknow - Sultanpur Road. Distance from Lucknow is 55 km and well connected by rail and road route from Lucknow. One can reach Haidergarh from Faizabad, Basti, Rai Bareli too.

Temple of Lord Shiva is situated on Gomati River Bank called as Aushaneshwar Ghat. It is said that at the time of Moghal Rules some one tried to damage the Shiv Lingam, but he was scared by the bees and insects. Till few years back, the Temple was in very bad shape but efforts of Shri Sunder Lal Dixit MLA and Shri Raj Nath Singh then Chief Minister of U.P. and Member of Legislative Assembly have changed it in a beautiful and graceful Temple.

In haidergarh there is sugar mill placed in village pokhra. In this mill power generation is also going on. Gramyanchal Vidyalaya is the only College in Haidegarh which is catering for higher education. There is another holy place near Haidergarh known as teekaram baba on subeha road. Raibareli is about 45 km frm haidergarh. The last limit of haidergarh on raibareli road is lahi border.
