Pat MacDonald (preferred spelling 'pat mAcdonald') (born
6 August 1952 , Green Bay,Wisconsin ) is an Americanmusician and songwriter. He is most famous as singer, guitarist, and main songwriter forTimbuk3 , nominated for aGrammy Award for Best New Artist in 1987. He formed the duo with his wife,Barbara K. MacDonald inMadison, Wisconsin in 1984 before moving toAustin, Texas that same year. Their breakup in 1995 spurred a solo career that has steadily produced releases in both Europe and the US. "MacDonald is long known for his playful, edgy songs," saysGuitar Player Magazine (Apr. 2007).Songwriting credits include collaborations with
