- Ramil Safarov
Ramil Safarov ( _az. Ramil Səfərov) was a lieutenant in the Azerbaijani Army. He was born in 1977 in the town of
Jabrayil . In February of2004 , while attending aNATO Partnership for Peace program, Safarov was arrested by Hungarian police for the murder of Armenian fellow participant LieutenantGurgen Markaryan . Markaryan had been hacked to death with an axe and a knife. In addition to Markaryan's murder, Safarov had attempted to murder captainHayk Makuchyan , another Armenian.
