Persian Gulf University is a university in Bushehr Province of Iran.

Established in 1991 as Bushehr University, the university has 5 colleges, offering 19 bachelor degrees, and 7 masters degrees

History

The Persian Gulf University is located in the coastal city of Boushehr.It is a state university under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.The Persain Gulf University was established in 1991. It started its educational work as a "technical &engineering school" with two majors of mechanical and civil engineering.

Today, the Persian Gulf University (PGU) consists of five faculties offering undergraduate courses leading to Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in 20 disciplines, postgraduate courses leading to Master's of Science in 11 specialties.
