Balarampur ( _bn. বলরামপুর) is a census town in Purulia district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Geography

Bhandu Majhi of CPI(M) won the Balrampur (ST) assembly seat four times in a row in 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991, defeating Barjuram Singh Sardar of AITC, Lambodar Mandi of AITC, Dulal Mandi of INC and Subhas Mudi of INC respectively. Bikram Tudu of CPI(M) defeated Rasik Chandra Majhi of INC in 1987, and Rupsing Majhi of INC in 1981 and 1977. [cite web
