tation History
*WCAW was bought by The West Virginia Radio Corporation in 1993, along with
WVAF-FM .
*TheOldies format was on 107.3 FM until sister station WKAZ went with the popular Jack FM format in 2006.During most of the 1960s WCAW was the top rated "top 40" station in the market. Its main top 40 competition at that time was WGKV (which stood for Greater Kanawha Valley) and WKAZ AM. The primary rating battle was between WCAW and WCHS. I (Randy Scott)was the Program Director/afternoon drive jock during the station's heyday years. Paul Miles was the General Manager and Pete Johnson owned it.
