Saint-Sébastien - Froissart is a station of the Paris Métro, named after the "Rue de Saint-Sébastien" and the "Rue Froissart".

The Rue de Saint-Sébastien was named after Saint Sebastian who was a Roman officer and helped Christians during the reign of Diocletian, in the 3rd century. He was denounced and died of arrow wounds. In about 1670, the Rue de Saint-Sébastien led to the small hamlet of Popincourt.

The "Rue Froissart" was named after the poet and writer Jean Froissart (approximately 1337-1400), who reported in his "chronicles" on European events during the first half of the Hundred Years' War. He also wrote the courtly romance "Méliador".
