- Robert Wald
Robert Wald (b.
June 29 ,1947 ) is aphysicist who specializes ingeneral relativity and thethermodynamics ofblack hole s. He is well known as the author of a widely used graduate textbook, "General Relativity" (ISBN 0-226-87033-2). Wald is a professor at theEnrico Fermi Institute and theUniversity of Chicago . Wald has taught undergraduate courses across a broad range of physics topics, and has been honored as a particularly effective teacher.
