WSAQ is a country music radio station in Port Huron, Michigan known as Q Country 107. It began broadcasting August 7, 1964 on 107.1 MHz with 6,000 watts, and remains the same today [ [http://www.michiguide.com/dials/rad-s/wsaq.html Michiguide.com WSAQ History] ] . It broadcasts from the same site as AM 1450 WHLS. Q-Country plays modern country music along with some classics. WSAQ has an all local morning show and local news. The owner of WSAQ is Radio First, which owns four other stations in Saint Clair and Sanilac County.

History

In 2000 Hanson Communications sold 1590 WHYT (now WHLX) to Liggett Communications (now Radio First). Liggett, who was also in the process of acquiring Hanson's competitor, WHLS-AM and WSAQ-FM, decided to co-locate all five stations at 808 Huron Street, which was the main base of operations for WHLS and WSAQ, and had enough space for expansion, unlike the Military Street facility. WSAQ and WHLS are owned by RadioFirst, along with 1380 WPHM, 96.9 WBTI, and 1590 WHLX.
