It broadcasts from the same site as AM 1450WHLS . Q-Country plays modern country music along with some classics. WSAQ has an all local morning show and local news. In 2000 Hanson Communications sold 1590 WHYT (now
WHLX ) to Liggett Communications (nowRadio First ). Liggett, who was also in the process of acquiring Hanson's competitor,WHLS -AM andWSAQ -FM, decided to co-locate all five stations at 808 Huron Street, which was the main base of operations for WHLS and WSAQ, and had enough space for expansion, unlike the Military Street facility. WSAQ and WHLS are owned by RadioFirst, along with 1380WPHM , 96.9WBTI , and 1590WHLX .Airstaff
