The trackway leaving the site heading towards the oldAlexandra Park railway station and Fallowfield railway station is now a cyclepath managed bySustrans .There is a proposal to extend
Manchester Metrolink through Chorlton-cum-Hardy, with the Chorlton-cum-Hardy stop occupying the site of the former train station See "Trafford Bar to Chorlton — Phase 3a" section of cite web|url=http://www.lrta.org/Manchester/City_South.html|accessdate=2007-12-20
