In June 2008, the station began additionally streaming its HD channel on the internet. The station's signal covers theTampa Bay Area cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, as well as the Sarasota-Bradenton metropolitan area andLakeland, Florida .WBVM's programming is simulcasted in the
Nature Coast area on WLMS 88.3 FM, which originates inLecanto, Florida and reaches Ocala and Gainesville.Both stations are owned by the Diocese of St. Petersburg. The station manager is John Morris. The station is non-commercial and primarily listener-supported through an annual "Shareathon" pledge drive.
Programming is predominantly
Christian Contemporary music , along with local diocesan speakers,traffic reports , andSpanish language programs in certain dayparts. Some syndicated programs are carried, such as "Family Minute with James Dobson". WBVM's HD radio digital channel, "HD2 – The Light", is separately programmed. The locally-produced "Sacred Classics" show, a long-running two-hour weekly program of traditional choral and organ music recorded by renowned performing artists, is broadcast Saturday evenings and repeated on Sunday mornings and evenings on both analog and HD channels.External links
