Victoria, Australia . It is located in the north-eastern part of the state. It includes the towns of Bright, Mt Beauty andMyrtleford . It has an area of 4,885 squarekilometre s. In2001 it had apopulation of 17,581 and still growing. There are twounincorporated areas within the shire; the areas aroundMount Hotham and Falls Creek. It was formed in1994 from the merger of theShire of Bright ,Shire of Myrtleford and parts of theUnited Shire of Beechworth ,Shire of Oxley andShire of Yackandandah .External links
