IND Culver Line of theNew York City Subway .The mezzanine is full length and has a minimum of two former booths, one for the two exits to Prospect Park West and another near the 16th Street staircase. Because of the way the tunnel was built, the station is not located underneath a street. Instead the station and tunnel was constructed about 100 feet east of Prospect Park West. Therefore, some portions of the tunnel are directly underneath Prospect Park and others between the west side of the park and Tenth Avenue. There are five street stairs.
From north to south, the exits are located as follows:
*at Bartel Prichard Square between Prospect Park West and 15th Street (closed at night),
*both sides on Prospect Park West near the square,
*one exit on 16th Street,
*and another on Windsor Place. The current booth is located closer to the Windsor Place side. The full length passageway allows out of system walking from one end to another while the area inside fare control does not. The tile band is now orange-yellow.Bus connections
*B68 to Midwood and
Brighton Beach viaConey Island Avenue
*B69 to DUMBO andDowntown Brooklyn
*B75 to Park Slope, Red Hook andDowntown Brooklyn In popular culture
Several dream sequences in the film π which take place in an empty generic-looking
New York City subway station were shot at 15th Street–Prospect Park. In some of the shots, the sign indicating the exit to Bartel Pritchard Square is visible in the background.External links
