The Spa Association Singapore represents the professional spa operators in Singapore. It was officially founded in October 1998 and is the voice for the development of the spa industry. The association works closely with the Singapore Tourism Board, the Police Licencing Division, IE Singapore, and many other industry partners and statutory boards to facilitate the development of member spas, as well as to provide connections for members going abroad. Despite promoting the spa industry in the country, it also acts as its representative body, and establishes standards of practices.
In 2002, the Association successfully launched an accreditation program to establish and maintain professional standards for the Singapore spa industry. Spas accredited by the Spa Association of Singapore have been determined to meet, to maintain, and to continuously improve on the standards set to take the industry to its next quantum.
