Frogger 3D (also simply known as Frogger) is a video game remake of the classic 1981 arcade game Frogger. It was released on November 3, 1997. The player's objective is to search the map for six small colored frogs (his children): a red one, a blue one, a green one, an orange one, and a violet one, and collect them in a certain amount of time avoiding obstacles while doing so. His other smallest child (the golden frog) is hidden in a certain level in every zone. If you find every golden frog in those 8 certain levels (plus the Tropical Trouble level/zone), you will obtain an alternate ending. There are a total of 33 levels spread out through 9 different zones (Tropical Trouble is one big level/zone).

The player begins with five lives. Touching even the smallest obstacle kills the frog instantly; the frog has no health meter. If a player dies, they return to the starting point of the level.

Golden Frog Locations

Retro (Retro Level 5) Occasionally floating by on a log.

Lily Islands (Spinning Lilies) At the end of a hidden path between bushes. This hidden path can be seen across from the island with mowers on it.

Trees (Canopy Capers) At the end of the series of logs that squirrels run through on the forest floor.

Machinery (Scorching Switches) On the middle platform of a turbine near leading to the purple frog.

Caves (Webs Cavern) In an alcove to the left of the bridge that leads across the lava river.

Clouds (Airshow Antics) Across the balloon path located on the right of the third cloud (near the orange frog).

Sewers (Uncanny Crushers) Behind the large crusher past the series of smaller crushers on the path to the right.

Desert (Crumbled Point) In an alcove before the boulder field, to the far left of the level.

Tropical In the frog temple at the end of the level. Must first collect all of the baby frogs in the stage.

If you collect every golden frog in the game, and return to play Tropical Trouble, an alternate endng will be viewed at the end--Frogger will meet Lily Frog.
