Santiago de Compostela Airport - Lavacolla (IATA: SCQ, ICAO: LEST) is one of the three international airports in Galicia, Spain. It is located in Lavacolla, a town in the outskirts of Galicia's capital city, Santiago de Compostela. In 2010, 2,172,869 passengers passed through it.

The Christian pilgrimage route of the Way of St. James (El Camino de Santiago) passes by the airport.

Criticism

The CNC (Comisión Nacional de la Competencia) has questioned the subsides that public administration have granted to low cost airlines operating in this airport, in their opinion it helps to increase the deviation of the demand, harming the traditional airlines and neighboring airports.^[1]
