Glenda Goertzen

Glenda Goertzen (born 14 January 1967) is a Canadian author.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Goertzen received a BFA in Film and Video from the University of Regina in 1989, but after working in television for several years switched careers to library work and writing.

Goertzen is the author of the children's novels "The Prairie Dogs" (2005) and "City Dogs" (2007), canine adventures set on the Canadian prairie. "The Prairie Dogs" has been nominated for several awards, including the Silver Birch Award, the Saskatchewan Book Award and the Diamond Willow Award. "City Dogs" has been nominated for the Saskatchewan Book Award. Goertzen's love of animals and Canada's natural environment plays a strong role in her books.

Goertzen lives in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
