Inquirer Compact

Inquirer Compact

The "Inquirer Compact" is one of two trimmed-down versions of the "Philippine Daily Inquirer", the other being the "Inquirer Libre". The "Inquirer Compact", unlike the Inquirer broadsheet, is printed in the compact format, and unlike the "Inquirer Libre", is not free of charge. It is also completely in English and it targets a different audience. Articles published in this version of the "Inquirer" are usually shorter than in the broadsheet.

The target audience of the "Inquirer Compact" tends to be persons from major provincial cities within the C and D income brackets (middle to lower classes) and usually aged between 18 and 35.

Because of the target audience that the newspaper is aimed at, the "Inquirer Compact" is not available in Metro Manila. This is also due to the wide availability of the "Inquirer" broadsheet in that area. It is only available in major cities within the regions of mainland Luzon (Regions I, II, III, IV-A, V and the CAR), such as Baguio and Legazpi. No plans have been made to make the newspaper available in the Visayas and Mindanao.
