artist best known for hiscommercial art illustrations for companoes includingAbsolut Vodka ,Atlantic Records ,Condé Nast Publications ,Sony and others.Biography
J.D. King began his career in the late 1970s with contributions to
underground press magazines such as "Stop!", "Weirdo " and "Comical Funnies".Fact | date=May 2008King's illustrations have appeared in "
The Boston Globe ", "The New York Times ", "The Wall Street Journal " and "The Washington Post ". In addition to book illustration (Martin McIntosh's "Beatsville"), he has contributed to numerous magazines, including "Adweek ", "American Spectator", "Bicycling", "BusinessWeek ", "Entertainment Weekly ", "Fortune", "Heavy Metal", "Kiplinger's", "MacWorld ", "New York", "The New Yorker ", "Newsweek ", "The Progressive " and "Time". King is also a guitarist. His band, J.D. King and the Coachmen, recorded "Ten Compositions: New Frontiers in Free Rock" and "American Mercury".
