Sierra Vista High School is a nine-month public high school located in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Sierra Vista is a part of the Clark County School District. Its principal Emil T. Wozniak will move to the new Desert Oasis High School in the 08-09 school year. Replacing him will be Shawn Boyle.

Athletics

Sierra Vista's athletic teams are known as the Mountain Lions and they compete in the Southwest Division of the Sunset 4A Region. The Mountain Lions are known for the success of their baseball teams which have won five straight Southwest Division titles (2004-08) and one state title in 2005 and have produced numerous professional ballplayers including Oakland Athletics prospect, Chris Carter.

Performing Arts

Band

Sierra Vista has one of the most, if not the most, successful marching bands in the state of Nevada. Directed by Phillip Haines the Sierra Vista High School Marching Band won the 2007 Bands of America Marching Band Regional Champions held in Flagstaff, AZ, becoming the only Nevada band to do so in the history of the state.
