* "The Lion King" - partially inspired by "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, the Bible stories of Joseph and Moses, and the Disney animated film "Bambi"; often speculated to be greatly inspired by Osamu Tezuka's classic anime, Kimba the White Lion, due to numerous similarities between the two animations.
* "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - original idea by Tim Burton, pun on the title of the poem Twas the Night Before Christmas.
