Juan de Dios Castillo

Juan de Dios Castillo Gonzalez (Born January 31 1951 in Mexico City) is a football coach, currently managing CD Olimpia of Honduras. He has been head coach of the youth Mexican National Team in the FIFA World Youth Championship cup in Australia in 1993 finishing in 5th place.

Career

Players such as Oswaldo Sanchez and Rafael Garcia participated in this team and have now become part of the Mexican team that has played in the FIFA World Cup in Germany. He started playing professionally for Monterrey, in the Mexican league, he also played in: Pachuca, San Luis, Toluca, Madero, Atletico Espanol and Curtidores where he was called to be part of the Mexican national team. Gonzalez graduated from the National School of Football Coaches in 1983, starting to coach in all the possible divisions in the Mexican league: 3rd division, 2nd, 1st division A, and first division. He also he assisted Alfonso Portugal in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Portugal in 1991. Gonzalez also coached the Santos Laguna team in Torreon, leading them in the 3rd place of the Mexican league. He then went on to coach in Honduras for Real C.D. España, winning the National Championship in 2003.And now he coaches the 1st division A team, Atletico Mexiquense, which is the part of the Club Deportivo Toluca [www.deportivotolucafc.com]
