Newcestown (Irish: Baile Núis) is a small village located 35 km from the city of Cork in the western part of County Cork, Ireland.It is a very scenic village to come to with lovely villagers and a state of the art church.The local pub,shop and gaa club are great meeting areas.The local School(Bishop Galvin Central School) is an uponcoming growing school.

- Newcestown GAA is the local Gaelic Athletic Association club.It was founded in 1959 and celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2009.They are a vibrant club with over 150 members each year.They have a strong underage that will pay off in time to come. They won the Premier Intermediate in 1971,2001 and 2010 in 2001 against Nemo rangers and 2010 against Clyda rovers 10 points to 11 points.They won the Junior A hurling championship in 1972,1980 and 1990.they have won other major championships and major youth cups starting at u12 to u21.Tim Crowley,Kevin Kehily,Sean O Donovan and Pat Kennealy. Red and Yellow are their home colours and black are their Away colours.
