Heineken Cup finals

Heineken Cup finals

This article lists the results of the finals of the Heineken Cup. The Heineken Cup is Europe's premier rugby union club competition, and is analogous to the UEFA Champions League in football (soccer). Professional teams from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales compete with each country having their own qualification criteria. The cup is contested annually, with 24 teams split into six pools. The top eight teams from the pool stages qualify for the quarter finals; the four winners then contest the semi-finals; the two winners then play one another in the Heineken Cup final.
