Union Club of the City of New York

The Union Club of the City of New York, founded in 1836, is the oldest club in the United States [http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9E03EFDE173EE433A2575AC1A9609C946996D6CF] . Located on East 69th Street and Park Avenue in New York City, it occupies a National Historic Landmark building opened on August 28, 1933 and designed by Delano & Aldrich.

This is the Club's sixth clubhouse and the third built for the members. The prior two clubhouses were at Fifth Avenue and 21st Street, occupied from 1855 to 1903, and the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 51st Street, occupied from 1903 to 1933.
