William Malone is an American filmmaker who directed such films as the 1999 remake of "House on Haunted Hill". His films generally receive poor ratings from critics. "House on Haunted Hill", while generating over $40 million U.S. received universally poor ratings but big box office, breaking box office records for Halloween. His later film "FeardotCom" was criticized for being highly derivative of the more successful film "The Ring".Malone is also a successful writer having written "Universal Soldier",starring Claude Van Dame, "The Aberdeen Project",as well as many TV episodics.
Malone is considered the world's foremost collector of "Forbidden Planet" memorabilia.
