Charmaine Hooper (born January 15, 1968 in Georgetown, Guyana) is a former striker for the Canadian women's national soccer team.

Career
A former star at North Carolina State University, she currently plays for the *Fort Worth FC of the Women's Premier Soccer League. In 2006 she played for the New Jersey Wildcats in the American W-League. Her previous clubs include the WUSA's Atlanta Beat, the Chicago Cobras, and the Rockford Dactyls; she has also played for club teams in Norway, Italy and Japan.
International career
Hooper has played a total of 131 times and scored 71 goals for Canada, both national records. Her international debut came on July 7, 1986 against the United States. She was a member of the Canada squad at the 1995 and 1999 Women's World Cups.
She became the only Canadian player in W.U.S.A. history to score in the Founders Cup III. Was named the Atlanta Beat MVP and was inducted into the United Soccer League's Hall of Fame in 2002.
Hooper played professionally in Norway, Italy, Japan, U.S.A., and Canada. During her College years she earned numerous state and NCAA records.
Hooper last played for the Canadian National Team in 2006. She will always be remembered as one of Canada's best female or male soccer players ever. [1]
Personal
She is the sister of Lyndon Hooper also a former Canadian footballer. She is from Nepean, Ontario. She is married to William Codd, a University soccer coach.
