Minis is a main character in Ian Irvine's "The Well of Echoes" quartet. He is a young Aachim man and foster-son to Vithis. Minis uses his special abilities to call across The Void and eventually makes contact with Tiaan Liise-Mar. When Tiaan saves the Aachim, Minis repudiates her, at his foster-fathers command, though he continued to have strong feelings for her ever after.

Characteristics

Minis is a rather tall young man, with a handsome open face. He has large dark eyes and brown hair. His skin is dark, like most Aachim and he also has the characteristically long Aachim fingers.

For all his high position among the Aachim, as foster-son of their leader, Minis is an excruciatingly weak willed man. He is emotionally flawed and completely in the thrall of Vithis. Minis is easily lead and ignorant, as Gilhaelith demonstartes when he is able to gain a large amount of important information from him, regarding Tiaan and the thapter. Gilhaelith was at first under the impression that Tiaan was a lovelorn fool, but in fact discovers that it is Minis. Though he betrayed her, Minis continues to have romantic feelings for Tiaan and hangs on to the whim that perhaps there is a future for them.
