Joanne W. Bowie is a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's fifty-seventh House district, including constituents in Guilford county. A retired public relations consultant from Greensboro, North Carolina, Bowie is currently (2003-2004 session) serving in her eighth term in the state House.
