- Meadowlands Park
Meadowlands Park is a park in the southern Twin Cities
suburb ofEagan, Minnesota consisting of aplayground ,baseball field and a fullbasketball court .Meadowlands Park is most famous for the high level pick-up
basketball games from the mid 1990's until 2002. Some of the best young players in the south metro would use the court for long hours regardless of rain or prolonged 90 degree heat. The season often started in late April and would last until September. Most basketball games at Meadowlands Park were played full-court two-on-two, which made the games fast-paced and full of transition baskets. [clarification needed] Those who played at the court frequently said that on no other court did they ever shoot as well. It was not uncommon for players to shoot as high as 70% behind the 3-point line Fact|date=February 2007.
Also unique to Meadowlands Park was a small
indentation , perhaps an inch deep and three inches in diameter, about 15 feet out from the north basket on the playing surface of the court. Those who played at Meadowlands Park referred to this dent as Joe Robbie Stadium Fact|date=February 2007.
