William (Bill) Harsey, Jr. is an award-winning American knife designer and maker who works with several knife companies, including Gerber, Lone Wolf Knives, and
Chris Reeve Knives . Both operators and collectors value his knives. Harsey was born into alogging family inOregon in 1955. He received an MFA from theUniversity of Oregon .Harsey collaborated with Colonel Rex Applegate to design Gerber's Applegate-Fairbairn line. He worked with Chief James Watson to design Gerber's Watson Harvey Silver Trident. In collaboration with Chris Reeve Knives, he designed the Yarborough knife, which since 2002 has been presented to graduates of the
