Francesco Molinari (born
8 November ,1982 ) is an Italiangolf er. Molinari became a professional in 2004, and, at that season'squalifying school , earned full status on thePGA European Tour for the 2005 season, in which he ultimately finished in eighty-sixth place in the Tour's Order of Merit standings.In May 2006, Molinari claimed his first Tour victory, becoming the first Italian since
Massimo Mannelli in 1980 to win theTelecom Italia Open . He finished the year ranked 38th on the Order of Merit.Molinari is the younger brother of Edoardo, the 2005 United States Amateur Champion.
